By being a “human” and showing your humanity in your posts, it shows your consumers that your brand isn’t a faceless corporate entity but a relatable business with which you can create trust and connection!

Here are a few ways of making your business come across more human:

    Inspirational Post:

An inspirational post can be very effective content as it helps to motivate your audience (this works very well within the Health and Fitness industry). This can be used as a story post, a social profile post, or a quote post!

    Guard-down post:

Great content can be created when the creator lets their guard down by showing a deeply personal experience that the audience can relate to. It will make the consumer feel more connected to your brand. This is good as a social profile or blog post.

    Behind-the-scenes post:

Everyone loves to have a little bit of a nose around and see bow things get done! If you’ve had people that have followed your business for a while, they will most likely what to peek behind the curtain! You could do several ‘a day in the life of…” different employees which shows what they get up to. You could also show a “how to…” post which explains how you e.g. create content and upload it. Make sure to use lots of pictures and videos along with your written content. This can be good as a story post or a social profile post.

    Off-topic post:

This is another post that is good if you have a loyal following. Your consumers will have become accustomed to your business covering a specific set of topics but this type of post can surprise your audience and create a good response. This is good as a story post or social profile post.

    Rant post:

Showing any emotions, even passion, and anger about a topic that’s relevant to your target audience, can get some great traction. It’s probably best not to do too many of these types of posts though; as it isn’t for everyone and could slowly become very negative towards your consumers in which case they end up un-following you. This can be used as a story post, a social profile post, or a blog post!

    Home runs post:

Celebrate your wins! Showing your audience what you’re up to and what is going well. It could also show potential customers why they should choose your business over others. This would be good as a social profile post or a blog post!

    Bloopers/ mess-ups post:

We all make mistakes. That is a fact. Nobody is perfect, and it’s good to show your consumers that you’re human. All humans mess up and hopefully, we learn from it! Whether it is a reflection post on mistakes the company has made, or a lighter-hearted post where you show a video blooper reel of funny mistakes; it will make your consumers feel more connected to you. This would be good as a story post, a social profile post, or a blog post!

    Holiday post:

Holidays are a great way to display your company’s humanity. You can send off well wishes and create a fun anticipation towards it with your audience. Creating content, which is timely to the season, allows consumers to find it fun and valuable. Did you know there is something celebrated nearly every day of the year (check out our social media posts at the beginning of every month for some ideas!). You may find an obscure holiday that fits in with your niche! This would be great as a story post, a social profile post, or a blog post!

What Parents Judge in the First 5 Seconds on Your School Website

A prospective parent arrives on your website for the first time. They may have found you through Google, followed a recommendation, clicked through from an advert or opened your site alongside four other schools they are considering. Within a few moments, they are already forming an impression. They probably have...

The Quiet Death of the Blue Link: What Zero-Click Search Means for You

For years, the deal with Google was fairly straightforward. Somebody searched for something, Google showed them a list of websites and they clicked one of the blue links to find the answer. That journey still happens, but not as often as it used to. Google now answers many questions directly...

Selling Trust, Not Stuff: Why Professional Services Marketing Is Different

Selling a professional service is a slightly strange transaction. The client is being asked to pay for something they cannot examine beforehand, take home in a box or return because it looked better on the website. They cannot test a solicitor’s judgement, inspect an accountant’s advice or ask a consultant...

Open Days Aren’t Enough: How Families Really Choose a School Now

Open days remain one of the most important moments in the school admissions journey. They give families the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the school, meet pupils and staff, explore the facilities and begin to imagine what daily life there might feel like for their child. Schools understandably invest...
